LIVID Ideas
Three years ago, my very first children's book was published in Taiwan. I wrote and illustrated the book, "My Mom's a Magician" (bilingual: in English and Mandarin). In addition, I have also designed a few greeting cards which are also being sold in Taiwan, for a charitable organization. In the near future, I plan to write and illustrate more children's books (mainly stories that introduce a little bit of the different cultures from all over the world). I also plan to design more cards and perhaps start designing stationery as well.

Michael Denton
I'm a university student of design at Massey University in New Zealand. I feel very strongly against the strangle hold that corporations have over the mainstream media and the whole communication industry that informs society. I believe that the messages we receive need to act in the interests of the people, not just the corporations. Important issues such as environmental destruction, rising personal debt, and issues around sustainability are neglected while corporations continue to fuel people to consume. I hope to develop the beginnings of a substantial opposition against the brainwashing propaganda in Advertising and the Mass Media within New Zealand.

I create and use stencils, both multi layer and single layer. I found GA purely by accident, but when i read the mission statement, I realised i had found a group of people like me. People who want to make change and to do so through art.

Sabiha Basrai
I have recently graduated from the Art and Design Program at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo where I focused in graphic design. I was an active member of the Progressive Student Alliance, and became director of the organization during my last two years at the University. My search for opportunities to combine my love of art and design with my passions for social justice activism lead me to seek an internship with Design Action in Oakland where I worked with other activist designers to put together the conference "Designs on Democracy." I am about to settle in Philadelphia where I will be working for PIRG GRFX. I am thrilled that the Graphic Alliance is forming, and I look forward to seeing it grow.
